Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data MoreDealsX collects, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are privacy-first by design and never sell your data.

1. Who we are

MoreDealsX is a local marketplace for Dalarna, Sweden, operated by MoreTech Global ("we", "us"), part of the Merkoll platform. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@merkoll.com.

2. What we collect

• Account details — your email address (used for passwordless sign-in), and optionally your name and whether you opt in to marketing emails.
• Favourites — the products you save, so you can find and re-buy them.
• Affiliate data — if you join the affiliate program: your referral code, referral clicks, referred sales, accrued commission and the payout details you provide.
• Business listings — if you list a business: the business name, town, contact details, description and offers you submit.
• Technical — a sign-in token and (if you arrived via a referral link) a referral code stored in your browser's local storage; basic request logs kept for security.
• Location — if you allow it, your approximate location is used only on your device to pick the nearest town. Your coordinates are never sent to or stored by us.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To provide the service — sign-in, favourites, business listings, affiliate accounting (performance of a contract).
• To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
• To send you deal emails, only if you opt in (consent — you can withdraw at any time).

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:

• The businesses you interact with, when you contact them or place an order on their store.
• Payment processors — purchases happen on each business's own store and are processed by that business's payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We never process or store card details.
• Infrastructure providers who host the service on our behalf, under data-processing agreements.
• Authorities, where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We keep account and transactional data for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time (see your rights below).

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email privacy@merkoll.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

7. Security & international transfers

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed single-use sign-in links, and least-privilege access. Where data is processed outside the EU/EEA by a provider, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
